The Accommodation

The Accommodation

The Hidden Chapel is stylishly furnished without being contrived. It offers a very comfortable self-catering holiday accommodation for up to 6 guests, ideal for two families to share. With an eccentric mix of upcycled and vintage furnishings and touches of retro, there is an informal atmosphere throughout the space. A truly unique and quirky place to stay, the property includes original pitched pine floors, a spiral staircase sourced from Oxford university’s experimental Science department, stunning cast iron radiators and the chapel pews, masterfully recrafted into kitchen cabinetry. The Chapel provides all the mod cons you could need with fast WiFI throughout the property, a flat-screen smart TV with freeview channels, a Bose bluetooth speaker and a record player with large LP collection.

Comfortably sleeping 6, The Hidden Chapel has 3 bedrooms, two of which have en-suite bathrooms and one bedroom that opens up to a stunning south facing terrace. The rooms feature a mix of vintage furniture along with two king size beds (one of which has the option of being split and used as two single beds) and a double bed in the third bedroom.

Wake up to birdsong, cook delicious meals in the fully equipped large family kitchen and congregate around the family dining table that comfortably seats ten. Light the log burner, laze on the comfortable sofas and go retro with a large record collection. Enjoy the clawfoot tub and relax with spa-like bath amenities, while gazing through the skylight at the spectacular night sky.

Thoughtful touches, like a yoga mat for morning stretches, eye shades for a late lie in, cooler bag for your picnics, electric fans in each bedroom for those hot summer nights, hot water bottles for the cooler nights, umbrellas and walking sticks, all speak to a well-considered guest experience. All in all, a perfectly curated mix of vintage and modern touches create an eclectic and unusual, but wonderfully functional, accommodation for your chilled out holiday in Devon.
