Eating Out

The Waie Inn, located in the village and an easy walk from the Chapel, has a lovely large garden and is fantastic for family lunches and dinners. They also have a fantastic indoor and outdoor play area plus an indoor pool, squash courts and football; all are available on a ‘pay as you play’ basis. The menu is good value, home cooked food with generous portions and daily specials. They offer a good selection of local craft beers and lagers. Whilst not a ‘gastro pub’ the food is excellent and a great place to go, especially with little ones.

Sanford Orchards has a fantastic pizza and cider bar in Crediton (Approx. 15 mins by car) and O’Hanlons brewery has the best burgers ever!  In the other direction in Okehampton (Approx. 20 mins by car) there is the Allotment Club cafe which does gorgeous vegetarian and vegan food with a deli to pick up lovely bits for a posh picnic.

For something more gourmet and romantic there is The Duck at Yeoford or the award-winning Lamb at Sanford and the Ring of Bells at Cheritan (Strongly recommend that you book a table in advance in all of these places to avoid disappointment).
